The most striking ones are Tineh River in North, Lar and Div Asiab Rivers in West, Haraz River in South and Panj Ab in Eastern side of the mount. There’s a unique frozen waterfall in the south of Damavand, called Abshar Yakhi in Persian. It means icefall and the ice never melts. The waterfall is around 12 meters tall with 3 meter diameter. In springs, the mount foothills will be covered by anemones and the birds’ songs can be heard.

Hesam is an excellent guide. He guided me and my friend for a week through some wonderful landscape of Albroz range, and finally taking us to our target peak of Damavand. He arranged everything from food, accommodation , transport to actual guiding. We could not have asked for a better and friendly guide with a wealth of local knowledge. I highly recommend him as a trekking guide in Iran. Ardeshir Rana

We enjoyed 4 days trekking with Hessam, it was an incredible time with such a good guide in incredible places. Hessam is not only a great guide with guiding skills, he is very cautious, will make sure there is no danger at all, adapt himself to everyone and lead you to reach the best you can. But more than that, he is also super friendly and funny. We couldn’t hope for a better guide for this trip. He listen to your desires and needs and adapt everything. This albroz trek was one of the best memory we have from Iran: beautiful landscapes, very interesting discussions and a lot of fun. We definitely recommend Hessam.
