Trekking in Iran

In the Alborz mountains, there are many hiking trails from the past that connect the southern part of Alborz to the northern part and the Caspian Sea coast . These amazing trekking routs pass through the depths of the Alborz mountains and eventually reach the Caspian Sea . A long scroll in Alborz is a hike that takes more than a week . Due to the long duration of such programs, in addition to crossing the beautiful villages and beautiful Alborz in the middle of the route to several peaks of the Alborz can also be climbed .

I have designed most of these routes from the Tehran(capital of Iran), which will ultimately reach the Caspian Sea by crossing the vast alpine areas of Central Alborz and climbing several peaks of the area . If you would like to explore the pristine areas of the Alborz mountains and step into the amazing areas of this land and enjoy . I will serve you.

Our trip to Iran consisted of two parts, the "urban" part, which included a tour of the main attractions of Isfahan, Shiraz, Persepolis, Pasargadae and the "mountain" part. The second "mountain" part of the journey was a week-trekking in Alborz mountains - we crossed several passes of varying difficulty and climbed Alam-Kuh peak at the finish. Alborz mountains are very special, rich in colours, fresh springs, various landscapes and ancient legends. The hike was planned carefully by our guide Hesam taking into account the need for acclimatization, rest and pace available to each participant regardless of the level of physical fitness. Our journey also included several overnight stays at local residents houses, which became the highlight of this trip and a great way to get acquainted with the life and culture of Iranians, their lifestyle, local food, traditions, history, religion and thinking. Our guide Hesam proved himself as a professional and responsible person with great erudition, sense of humor, patience and thoroughness in organizing all stages of our multi-part trip. In 11 days we were able to see the diverse amazing country, getting to know both the inhabitants of shepherd camps and the inhabitants of villages, people of different occupations and different age throughout the country. Apart from historical sights, mountains and incredible nature Iranian people seem to be a real treasure of Iran, it is difficult to forget their kindness, openness and ability to enjoy life.

Alborz Long Crossing is a great program where you will see mountains, canyons, shepherd’s camps and hidden villages. In the end you ascend Alam Kuh (4800 m). We did it August, 2022. I asked Hesam to make a program with good acclimatization and he did in the best way. He is very skilled mountaineer; he understands the condition and skills of the group very good and choose the pace according to it. The peak ascent (4800 m) went smooth and all 5 of us made it to the top with no significant problems. I strongly recommend this trek for those, who are interested not only in challenging himself for the peak, but also see Iran in its different colors. Apart from that, Hesam is a very pleasant, easy to deal with and interesting man. You can talk to him on culture and history of Iran from ancient times to modern days. He can also organize to trip to historical heritage, which I also strongly recommend. If I ever come to Iran mountains again, I will certainly do it with Hesam.

Some dear friends proposed me a trekking in Iran. I was a little perplexed because I didn't know the mountains of Iran and I had never considered them an interesting destination. And instead it turned out to be an exciting experience! The large spaces and the vastness of the horizons in the Alborz mountains, the luxuriance and grandeur of vegetation in the Ircane Forests, the strenuous climb and the surprising summit of the Sabalan Volcano, the fascinating cities like Esfahan, Kashar and Tabriz, with their peculiar originality. And the great kindness of the Persian people, with its courteous and respectful familiarity, sharing life day by day with the local and nomadic people, the wish - realized - to make ours a special journey. And the perceptive ability of our mountain guide Hesam to introduce us into this bucolic world and make us appreciate all this spontaneously. This is what our trekking in Iran has been: an unforgettable experience of life!

Mixed trip: trekking in the Alborz Mountains, Caspian Sea Forest (Ircanian) and Sabalam, with visit of the city of Tehran, Kushan, Esfahan and Tabriz, conducted with high professionalism by our Iranian guide Hesam. Young architect who loves horses and its mountains places. In his childhood, he transferred all his passion to his country, to become a traveling companion for us. We lived for the days of trekking according to the traditions of the local population with homemade food (honey, bread, cheese). An unforgettable experience!
